Why We Don't Use DoorDash for Flower Deliveries

DoorDash takes a 10–30% cut off the top of your flowers, and they get the delivery fee. That means less flowers and/or higher prices for the same flowers for you.

We don't like that. We don't support companies who nickel-and-dime their way into small businesses to get rich.

We are not willing to sell bottom of the barrel flowers, we only sell the highest quality flowers at the best price. 

We also lose the ability to have quality control over deliveries and making sure your flowers get there looking good.

We are not perfect, but we eliminate and refine our practices and products all the time in order to get to 100%. We have been "going green" for about 10 years now and we have been refining our processes quite a bit along the way....To that end we are committed to:

• Recycling - we use the hefty bag program and Smyrna recycling center to recycle the maximum amount of recyclables, we educate our staff on how to recycle the most items possible with two recycling programs

• Composting - we compost all of our unusable flower and plant matter - see our impact report from CompostNow below!

• We use 100% compostable boutonniere/corsage bags, and some of our smaller cellophane that looks and feel like plastic!

• Chemical free dyes on recycled tissue paper.

• We make our own shine spray (for flowers and leaves) out of clean ingredients.

• Vase Recycling Program - we encourage the return of glass vases by giving a future credit to our customers. You can also save by bringing in a vase for us to design your flowers in! Scroll down to view more details.

• We have eliminated approximately 99% of chemical products and replaced them with clean green alternatives

• We use local vendors whenever possible

• We look for vendors that share our earth friendly, sustainable practices

• We have reduced or eliminated the need for disposable and plastic products or those made with chemical processes

Vase Recycle Program

Village Green Goes Green! Bring us your vases to Recycle or Reuse! 

• Get a credit on your account for half of the vase's retail value on future purchases ( a great way to clean out your cabinets and bring all you have in at once), OR if you bring a vase in when you place an order, you get full credit ( you pay nothing for your vase). 

• Vase has to be one we use to receive store credit, however, we can design in any container you want to bring in if you are placing your order at that time!

• Vases must be clean to receive credit. (Most vases can be run through your dishwasher.)

• Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.

• We reserve the right to refuse credit for chipped, cracked, heavily damaged, or dirty containers.
